Confirmed: Nicole Scherzinger replaces Kelly Rowland as the new X Factor(UK) judge

June 15, 2012

After days of speculation as to who will become the 4th judge on the X Factor, has finally surfaced. Former Pussycat, Nicole Scherzinger has accepted the job. As reported before, she will be joining Gary Barlow,
Tulisa Contostavlos
, and Louis Walsh.

It was also reported that ITV bosses had increased their offer from the previous £500K to £750k to take the job. She will replace the former Destiny’s Child, Kelly Rowland after she opted out of the show last year. The pop belle will be on the panel from the 18th June during the NewCastle auditions.

I am a bit curious on how this will turn out. Especially after the last year’s disaster on the US version of the show. There’s no doubt that the UK is very fond of Nicole since she became a guest judge on the show in 2010. She managed to bag herself hit singles and a top 10 album. Will she encounter the same success this time around?

Nicole had stated numerous time that she’s working on new music. I really don’t see it happening in the States. She should focus on the market that really cares for her. I am anticipating how this will turn out. Congratulations are in order though.
