Song Review: Nelly Furtado – Big Hoops(Bigger The Better)

April 20, 2012

Nelly has hit the circuit once again with a brand new single from her forthcoming album, ‘The Spirit Indestructible’ out June, 19th. The ‘Rodney ‘Darkchild’ Jerkins– produced number sees the Canadian songtress rap-sings over the thunderous heavy drum ‘n Bass production. Stella work I must admit. The song oozes freshness and growth from what’s on the radios. Its a clubby-urban song which is something we longed for, since the Electro-pop started with its horrible domination.

This is definitely one of Nelly’s trademarks songs, where she whines her vocals while giving the song a distinctive feel. The urban single was released on iTunes on the April, 17th and it is set to have three music videos. She confirmed this on her twitter account hours ago. She basically said each video will have a different interpretation, context and reference.

I really hope it will smash the charts because it deserves to and Polydor/Interscope better line her some intensive promo, because it will flop terribly. ‘The bigger the better. The bigger the better. The better the bigger’ Nelly Girl, you WORKED it. Kudos to you. You can listen to it here.
